WULAN STORY
In Indonesia, the archipelago where I’m from, massage is part of our daily life. It is a familiar gesture, an instinctive language of care. I grew up receiving and giving massages, long before I thought of touch as a practice to be studied or an art to be refined.
Having grown up in the West, I have always belonged to both worlds. Wulan was born from the desire to bring them into conversation: the traditions I carry with me and the place that shaped me.
My path was not a linear one. After a master’s degree in finance, I gravitated towards music, art and dance, different forms of expression that continue to inform the way I see and approach care. I went on to train in cranial and scalp massage, aromatherapy, trichology and natural cosmetology, bringing together ancestral gestures and contemporary expertise.
Wulan HeadCare Studio is where these influences meet. A personal interpretation of care, rooted in Indonesian traditions and shaped by a contemporary sensibility. A place where the scalp and hair are approached with the same attention as the experience itself, through considered gestures, carefully selected formulations and the art of touch.
WULAN, A TRIBUTE TO MY MOTHER AND DAUGHTER WHO SHARE THIS RADIANT NAME, EVOCATIVE OF THE MOON, FEMININITY, AND SERENITY.
WULAN IS A TIMELESS LEGACY, STEEPED IN THE RICH HERITAGE OF ASIA, AND IMBUED WITH THE ESSENCE OF TRADITION, WHILE ALSO EMBRACING THE CONTEMPORATY REALM OF ART AND POETRY.
